Wir sind ein Team von zwei Kulturschaffenden und sind in der Kunst, Kunstvermittlung, Textilen Gestaltung und Szenografie tätig. Wir sind auch Mütter von vier lustigen Jungs * * * *

Als Kulturschaffende glauben wir an die kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Relevanz von Ästhetischer Bildung und sind davon überzeugt, dass mit der Vermittlung von zeitgenössischer Kunst ganzheitliche Fähigkeiten gefördert und Kompetenzen spielerisch erweitert werden können. Wir möchten deshalb Kindern Zugänge zu Ideen und Konzepten in der Kunst vermitteln, damit sie sich diese aneignen und durch differenzierte Wahrnehmung und vielseitige Fragestellungen zu Handelnden werden können.

Wir möchten Kindern Freiräume ermöglichen in denen Ideen Form annehmen und Prozesse ausgelöst werden können. Kinder dürfen bei uns in einem aktiven Miteinander gestalten und handeln.

Ich engagiere mich seit längerem mit unterschiedlichen Projekten für eine spannende Kunstvermittlung und habe mit Okidoki - Spielplatz für Kunst eine innovative Plattform für Kinder ins Leben gerufen.
Diese Tätigkeit ist mit meiner Gesinnung als Künstlerin verknüpft. In meiner langjährigen künstlerischen Praxis im In- und Ausland habe ich mir ein Know-how an kunstgeschichtlichem Fachwissen und praktischen Erfahrungen auf dem Gebiet der zeitgenössischen Kunst angeeignet.
Ich verfüge über handwerkliche Fertigkeiten in den Bereichen Kunst und Gestaltung. Von diesem Spektrum an Wissen lasse ich die Kinder in meinen Workshops profitieren. Als Spürnase für sprudelnde Wünsche und schäumende Ideen ermögliche ich den Kindern auf frische Art und Weise bezaubernde Abenteuer.

Mit den Händen zu arbeiten ist eine ästhetische Form des Denkens, die uns hilft uns in der Welt zurecht zu finden. Ein aktives Erleben mit wild „denkenden“ Händen kann uns zu einer neuen Sprache führen. Ich bin der Überzeugung, dass Kinder und Jugendliche diese Sprache brauchen um Dinge auszudrücken, die sie nicht in Worte fassen können. Es ist mein Ziel, ideale Rahmenbedingungen für diese Art von Prozessen zu schaffen.

We are a team of two artists and we work in Fine Art, Art Education, Textile Design and Theater. We are also mothers of four hillarious boys ****
As artists we believe that aesthetic education has a big impact on our culture and society and we are convinced that art education develops our creative intelligence and expands in a playful way our capability to think outside the box and become true innovators. We would like to offer kids the capability to access ideas and concepts of contemporary art to give them a toolbox for developing their own perception and interpretation so that they can become active participants of the world.

We would also like to allow kids enough space so that they can develop their own ideas and set in motion interesting processes. We encourage kids to ask questions and to actively interact with each other.

For quite some time now, I have been involved in a variety of projects that foster an accessible and unprejudiced form of art education which is the context for creating Okidoki as an open platform and a “playground” for the arts. Okidoki’s philosophy is very much connected with my approach and thinking as a visual artist. Through my art education and numerous art exhibitions both in Switzerland and abroad, I have acquired a theoretical and practical know how in the fine arts which I can pass on to the workshop participants. My part in the workshops is mainly that of being a resource and a catalyst of ideas: As a scout for ingenious wishes and coach for wild ideas I travel with your kids through magic adventures in the open land of the arts.

To work with your hands is an aesthetic form of thinking which allows us to find our place in the world. Through active experiences with wildly „contemplative“ hands we can reach a new kind of language. I belive that children and teenagers have a special need for this kind of language in order to express everything they can’t put into words. It is my goal to create an ideal place where these kind of processes can unfold.
